Ever since a mysteriously wrapped trolley car bearing the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. logo, along with flames and a chain, began driving around San Diego in the lead up to Comic-Con, fans have been abuzz with the possibility that popular Marvel antihero Ghost Rider would be involved in season four.
And they were right.
As the ABC series' panel at Comic-Con 2016 concluded, fans were treated to a teaser of the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo burning away, leaving behind a burning skull and the tagline, "Vengeance comes this fall." Marvel later confirmed the news, revealing that actor Gabriel Luna will assume the role of Robbie Reyes, the unstoppable Ghost Rider.

"Season 4 will unquestionably be the series' biggest, most ambitious story yet, and it all begins with the introduction of one of our greatest legacy characters in Ghost Rider," Jeph Loeb, executive producer/head of Marvel Television, said in a statement. "When the Spirit of Vengeance rides into S.H.I.E.L.D., it'll change everything."
This will mark the first time the character has been adapted for live-action television, though a different version was brought to life by Nicholas Cage in the 2007 movie Ghost Rider, as well as the 2012 sequel, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.
Are you looking forward to Ghost Rider facing off against Coulson and the gang?
