Mrs Anthonia Aruya,The Director of Inspection and Monitoring for the council announced to newsmen on Friday, July 1, 2016, in Ibadan.
She said, “The shops were sealed off for non-compliance with to our regulations and directives by our monitoring team.”
“The council is charged with the responsibility of regulating, controlling the education, training and practice of pharmacies in all aspects”.
“It is the authority set up by law to register and license all premises where pharmaceutical activities are carried out among other functions”.
She also said that the council will not allow people without appropriate training and knowledge to operate in the business.
Aruya also appealed to citizens to ensure they buy drugs from already approved stores.
